Social Studies Department Announces Plans for 2010-2011 Print E-mail

The social studies department is working on a number of initiatives.  The department will be overseeing the growth of a History Club at THS.  This will be a new opportunity for senior high students to indulge in their passion for history.  The club hopes to work with interested groups in the school and community to increase people’s awareness of Titusville’s great history and its place in American and world history.

The food services menu for Titusville High School for the months of August and September are now available for download.  You can find them in the downloads link in the menu to the left or by clicking HERE.

Harrisburg – Forty Pennsylvania elementary schools have been selected to receive an Active Schools grant for the 2010-11 school year, Secretary of Health Everette James announced today.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Workers with specialized skills like electricians, carpenters and welders are in critically short supply in many large economies, a shortfall that marks another obstacle to the global economic recovery, a research paper by Manpower Inc (NYSE:MAN - News) concludes.

"It becomes a real choke-point in future economic growth," Manpower Chief Executive Jeff Joerres said. "We believe strongly this is really an issue in the labor market."

The THS Business Education Department is looking forward to starting another school year.  The department’s computer labs have all been upgraded with new Office software.  Students also have access to a state-of-the-art MAC lab funded by the Foundations in Education Federal Grant received by the District.
