Titusville PE Staff with Dr. Julie Gerberding, Former Director of CDC

The mission of the Titusville Area School District’s Health and Physical Education Program is to encourage all students to sustain regular, lifelong physical activity as a foundation for a healthy, productive and fulfilling life.

The Titusville High School Physical Education program provides a progressive curriculum with a wide variety of experiences that challenges our students, builds upon acquired skills, and imparts additional skills necessary to remain healthy and active throughout life.

The Titusville Middle School Physical Education program provides opportunities for all students, regardless of ability, to take part in activities in which they can achieve personal success, increase knowledge, improve skills and fitness, and learn the importance of teamwork, cooperation, effort and sportsmanship.

The Titusville Elementary Physical Education program contributes to the social, emotional, mental and physical well being of the child primarily through movement experiences. The development of basic motor skill competence, leadership skills and fair play are emphasized as students engage in individual, cooperative, and competitive situations. Students learn a logical progression of skills through developmentally appropriate activities. Activities are structured for maximum participation and designed for individual success and safety regardless of the student’s skill level.

The Titusville Early Childhood Physical Education program enhances cross-curricular learning through a multitude of sensory and movement activities based on cutting edge brain research. Activities are structured for maximum participation and designed for individual success and safety regardless of the student’s skill level.
