Amy Alcorn, class of 1986, currently resides in Erie, PA with her daughter Chelcie (age 14). She is a single mom.  Amy has leukemia and is currently going through chemo treatments in Pittsburgh. She will then undergo a bone marrow transplant when donors are found.

She will need 24 hour care (non-medical) after the transplant is completed late in May or June, while she stays in a home across the street from the hospital in Pittsburgh for 30 up to 100 days maximum.

We are looking for volunteers to take 1-2 days a piece to help cover this need. The caregiver will not be required to do anything medically. Maybe a load of laundry, get items from vending machines, make phone calls if necessary.

Anyone able to volunteer is to contact the 1st Presbyterian Church either by email firstpresby216@verizon.net or by phone (814)827-3665.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
