Titusville High School Key Club students and Service Learning students were recognized during the 2010 Spring Sports and Extracurricular Activities Recognition Assembly for their efforts in raising $750 for the American Red Cross Haiti relief fund.

The students raised the money by organizing a school-wide mat ball tournament and selling t-shirts bearing Haiti's flag and motto: "Unity Makes Strength." Tournament participants collected sponsorships and garnered additional support from a district-wide faculty jeans day and donations from The Colonial Machine Company in Pleasantville and the Kiwanis Club of Titusville. The t-shirts, which were worn throughout the two-week tournament, were designed by service-learning students Tyler Bienio, Nick Cubbon, and Ellie Massey.

During the May 20 assembly, students presented a check and fifty t-shirts to Allegheny Region Chapter executive director, Jenny Lehman. Jenny Lehman accepted the t-shirts on behalf of her sister, Joetta Lehman who is a missionary in Haiti and will see that the T-shirts are distributed.

Menu Changes for Pleasantville School Print E-mail

Thursday, 20 May 2010 09:13
Beginning Thursday, May 27, Pleasantville School will be serving pre-packed breakfasts and lunches for the final 8 days of school. This is due to the need to begin work on the kitchen area in order to be finished by the start of school next year.

The new breakfast and lunch menu is available to view or download from the Main Menu on the right of the Home Page.

Students who wish to purchase a school lunch will receive the same type of meal that we provide on field trips, with fresh, cold milk still included. Breakfast will also be bagged, with the usual juice and milk choices.

This will have no effect on our free and reduced lunch program. If you wish to have your child pack their own lunch from home you may do so, and you can purchase fresh, cold milk only, if you prefer.

If you have any questions, or are in need of further information, please contact our school office.
